SKY Costanera / Mirador

¿Vale la pena? - Esa es la primera pregunta que pasó por mi mente cuando supe (hace un par de meses ya) que el mirador del Costanera había abierto sus puertas. El rango de precios está dentro de lo aceptable, algo más caro o más barato dependiendo del bolsillo de cada uno:

Is it worth it? - That's the first question that crossed my mind when I heard (a couple of months ago) that the SKY Costanera viewpoint had opened. The price range is within the acceptable, a little more expensive or cheap depending on the state of your pocket:

Claramente para mi bolsillo de estudiante en ruinas $4.000 no son cualquier cosa (casi 19 pasajes en metro!), es por esto que decidí inaugurar mi blog con un pequeño resumen de pros y contras de este panorama. 

Clearly to my broke student wallet $4.000 are not something to take lightly (almost 19 metro tickets!), that's why I decided to inaugurate my blog whit a brief summary of pros and cons of this prospect. 

Dependiendo de la hora a la que vayas habrá una fila enorme para comprar tus tickets o no, es por eso que hay que avisparse y comprar los tickets temprano, yo lo hice así (por fortuna) y más o menos tipo 5pm volví para subir al mirador y ver el atardecer. 

Depending on the hour there will be a huge line to buy your tickets or not, that is why we must be clever and buy tickets early, that's what I did (fortunately) and around 5pm I came back to get up there and watch the sunset. 

Lo primero que me llamó la atención fue lo rápido que es el ascensor, esto puede ser un pro o un contra. Durante este breve trayecto hay una persona que te cuenta en resumen detalles sobre el mirador, la verdad es que yo no presté atención a lo que dijeron, pero quizás tú lo encuentres interesante. Cuando ya estás arriba hay dos pisos, ambos con vista de 360º,  el más alto (piso 60 y algo??) es de techo abierto, y en el penúltimo están los baños. En ambos pisos hay un par de sillas y telescopios (miradores) donde me entretuve bastante buscando mi casa. Está abierto de 10 a 22, pero la última subida es a las 21. The first thing that struck me was how fast the elevator is, this can be a pro or a con. During this short journey there's someone telling you about the viewpoint and stuff like that, to be honest I didn't pay much attention, but you might find it interesting. There are two floors, both with a 360° view, the highest (floor 60th something??) has an open ceiling, and the bathrooms are in the penultimate. On both floors there are a couple of chairs and telescopes (viewpoints), where I entretained myself trying to find my house. It's open from 10 to 22, but the last ride up it's at 21. Ah, y por supuesto, el mayor pro de todos es la vista! Acá las dejo algunas fotos que saqué para que lo juzguen ustedes mismos (destaco que el reflejo de los vidrios complica bastante el sacar fotos de noche y que mi cámara no tiene muy buena resolución tampoco, pero se hace lo que se puede). Espero que les gusten!

Oh, and of course, the biggest pro of all is the view! Here are some of the pictures I took so you can judge for yourself (just let me say the reflection of the glass makes it harder to take pictures at night, and my camara doesn't have a very good resolution either, but you do what you can).
